• Work closely with the Data Protection Officer to implement and operationalise data protection policies across the bank
• Help to set up, roll out and manage the Data Protection programme for the organisation and its regional entities
• Provide advisory to local and regional business units on data privacy matters (e.g. data breaches, complaints)
• Facilitate the operational processes related to data protection procedures
• Assist with conducting key control testing and internal/ external audits and help to remediate deficiencies if required
• Manage data breaches, complaints and regular report findings to Management.

skills and experience required

• Bachelors Degree from a reputable institution
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in a bank/ financial institution
• Possess a good understanding of regulations and processes germane to data protection
• Have an appreciation of data concepts/ privacy/ protection, and able to contextualise data laws
• Has good communication skills as required to communicate with internal stakeholders
